Jews from 102 nations, speaking over 80 languages returned after 2000 years of exile to form the modern State of Israel !

"That then the LORD thy God will turn thy (Israel) captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. If [any] of thine be driven out unto the outmost [parts] of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee: And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers"

Jerusalem - the everlasting city

“If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget [her cunning]. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy". (Psalms/Tehillim 137:5-6)

Jerusalem in Hebrew means 'the city of peace'. Ironically, the capital city of Israel has been completely destroyed twice; besieged 23 times; attacked an additional 52 times; captured and recaptured 44 times; been the scene of 20 revolts and innumerable riots; had five separate periods of violent terrorist attacks during the past century; had only changed hands peacefully twice; and experienced 118 separate conflicts in the past 4,000 years (Eric H. Cline)!
