If [any] of thine be driven out unto the outmost [parts] of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee: And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers"

Jerusalem - the everlasting city

“If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget [her cunning]. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy". (Psalms/Tehillim 137:5-6)

Ironically, the capital city of Israel has been completely destroyed twice; besieged 23 times; attacked an additional 52 times; captured and recaptured 44 times; been the scene of 20 revolts and innumerable riots; had five separate periods of violent terrorist attacks during the past century; had only changed hands peacefully twice; and experienced 118 separate conflicts in the past 4,000 years (Eric H. Cline)!
