Tomb of Zechariah

According to Jews, this pyramid shaped tomb belongs to Zechariah son of Prophet Jehoiada who was slain by King Joash (837-800 BC, II Chronicles 24:20-21). For Christians, however, it is the tomb of the Zechariah, the son of Barachias mentioned by Jesus as having been slain between the Temple and the altar (Mathew 23:35, Luke 11:50-51). Some consider both Zechariahs as same persons. To make things more complicated one should not forget that the Prophet Zechariah (520 BC to 518 BC) who is the author of second last book of Old Testament is a different person!!!! No doubt you will be astonished to know that there are at least 30 different people by the name Zechariah in Bible. If you magnify the photographs below, a careful observation (between middle pillars) can show you the Hebrew writings ....
