The Four Ancient Sephardic Synagogues, Jewish Quarter, Jerusalem.
The Sephardic Jewish communities built these synagogues in late 16th cent at a spot where Jewish tradition asserts that in the time of Second Temple (1st cent AD), stood the study house of Rabbi Yohannan Ben Zakkai (the renowned Rabbi who is considered as the saviour of Judaism after the whole Jerusalem was destroyed by Romans in AD 7o).
