The Greek Orthodox Mar Saba Monastery:one of the oldest inhabited monasteries in the world.

Located 15 km east of Bethlehem, this monastery is founded by St. Saba of Capadocia in the year 439 AD. The monastery today houses around 20 monks. It maintains the old tradition of not allowing women inside even today. However, they can see the monastery from the top of adjacent tower. Will update more details later...
