Yad Kennedy

It is a memorial built in 1966 by the Jewish communities in USA to President John F. Kennedy after his assassination in 1963. The 60 feet tall monument on top of an 825 m, High Mountain in the shape of a cut tree trunk, symbolizes a life cut short. The structure is encircled by 51 columns, each bearing the emblem of a state of US (50 states and the District of Columbia). An eternal flame burns in the very centre of the structure.
