Yad Kennedy
It is a memorial built in 1966 by the Jewish communities in USA to President John F. Kennedy after his assassination in 1963. The 60 feet tall monument on top of an 825 m, HighMountain in the shape of a cut tree trunk, symbolizes a life cut short. The structure is encircled by 51 columns, each bearing the emblem of a state of US (50 states and the District of Columbia). An eternal flame burns in the very centre of the structure.
"But the land, whither ye go to possess it, [is] a land of hills and valleys, [and] drinketh water of the rain of heaven: A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God [are] always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year (Deuteronomy / Devarim 11:11-12).
Israel-the Jewish Homeland
Jews from 102nations, speaking over 80 languages returned after 2000 years of exile to form the modern State of Israel !
"That then the LORD thy God will turn thy (Israel) captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. If [any] of thine be driven out unto the outmost [parts] of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee: And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers"

Jerusalem - the everlasting city
“If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget [her cunning]. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy". (Psalms/Tehillim 137:5-6)
Jerusalem in Hebrew means 'the city of peace'. Ironically, the capital city of Israel has been completely destroyed twice; besieged 23 times; attacked an additional 52 times; captured and recaptured 44 times; been the scene of 20 revolts and innumerable riots; had five separate periods of violent terrorist attacks during the past century; had only changed hands peacefully twice; and experienced 118 separate conflicts in the past 4,000 years (Eric H.
